It’s been a tough few months for our lovely community. Clearly, the Oso landslide was particularly devastating. The tragedy’s loss of live was compounded by severe economic impacts as the main access to our towns was removed. So mammoth that we were concerned that one of our key events, the Darrington Bluegrass Festival, might be cancelled.
Fortunately, that didn’t materialize. Between our emergency responders working tirelessly to get the roads re-opened, to the efforts of the greater Seattle area to raise funds, we were able to regain access to our community. Our major events happened, and our lives slowly healed.
